With a price tag of the $500 range, this camera is certainly not cheap and looking at some of the features, you start to wonder if the price is really worth it. It is after all just a camera, but in terms of quality let us take a moment to see if there is anything really special about the Olympus SP-560UZ. Upon first glance, you will notice that the camera is an 8.0MP which while respectable is certainly not the top of the line size that you can now find available in comparable prices. Additional features include the 18x wide-angle zoom. This is not something that is found on many other models currently and can actually allow you to shoot a beautiful wide-angle photograph just as if you were using a 27mm lens.
The bright 2.5” LCD ensures that you have a clear picture of what you are doing as well as the facial recognition ensures a nice crisp picture of the face. However, so far there are no substantial features for this particular model. Upon closer look, it starts to become apparent what really helps to set this camera apart, with the ability to use Shadow Adjustment Technology you can easily adjust the shadow and ensure that it does not ruin your perfect shot.
Another highly helpful feature is the perfect use of the Perfect Shot Preview. This allows you to alter settings in the camera and change the exact feel of the shot and then preview the changes live so you can ensure that you get the exact picture you want, before you ever click the shutter. This combined with an impressive 15fps burst rate ensures that you are getting everything you want and then some from this camera. While it may seem light on features at first glance, looking deeper certainly helps to draw out the benefits that this camera can provide and make it worth the price tag.
