Sony company in their press conference today has announced new digital camera in their ultra compact T class. Sony’s T class is quite famous by they lenses that are providing optical zoom but do not extend from the camera lens. Also another thing that the T series are known by is big problems with image quality special with photos made with flash. Cause of that problem, T series is called the vampire series, cause the sick red eyes on the photos made with build in flash.

So what’s new in new DSC-T2, first the optical sensor used is new, now it has 8 Mpix and increased sensitivity (up do ISO 3200 – I really doubt). Also new is the use of large 2.7 inch touch sensitive LCD. Used lens is quite familiar from other T series cameras, it’s the Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar with 3x optical zoom. Also Sony’s Super Steady Shot – real optical stabilization had found it’s way to the T series.

As I wrote about it earner, Sony embraced new strategy about including small capacity memory cards with it’s digital cameras. So there are no cards included into any new camera package but every camera has internal memory. Usually that memory is from 32MB to 64MB, but this camera has no less then 4000MB internal memory. That memory is enough to store up to 1000 photographs in full 8 Mpix resolution. If the 1000 photographs is not going to be enough for you, it’s possible to extend memory by using Memory Stick Duo or PRO Duo Sony’s memory cards.

New Sony’s DSC-T2 will hit the stores in December and the announced price is about $350.
